Winterville. Yes, the lights blackened shortly after 6 pm tonight as raging forces of wind gusted down the Addington Drive corridor. No, you would expect such brutal gasps of air from a hurricane, but in January? While we live in the eastern part of NC - easily prone to its share of hurricanes, this was simply a cold front passing through. Thankfully, the trash detail whisked away our garbage this morning before the storm came (was not the case last week!) As you can see, we three had a nice candlelight dinner of spaghetti with (turkey) meat sauce, salad, and garlic bread. The electrical currents did re-start around 7pm but it was nice while it lasted.

We had a breakthrough tonight as Soraya asked...FOR SECONDS! For those of you not up to date on our three year old's refusal to eat lately, this was a momentous occasion. In fact, Soraya ate her spaghetti (two helpings) and her carrot sticks! For that, she received two Oreo cookies! Hooray!!
